Testing time always

In this day and age of change there seems to be a lost time. A time when people met each other on the street and smiled and said, “HI”, when days went slower, when nerves were less stressed and the number of things to do were far fewer.

When time stood still for a little while and we listened to each other speak and heard what was said. When we looked at the moon at night and the stars in the sky, we walked in the grass barefoot and we were nourished by sitting outside listening to the sounds of life around us.

Where we laughed more, smiled more, felt better and healthier. Had healthy, good tasting food that actually nourished our bodies and soul. Took time to be a family that talked to one another without their noses in a phone. Where we weren’t inundated with so many frequencies bombarding our senses that we can hardly think. We weren’t tracked with cameras and digital software at every twist and turn of our day.

Looking for time and place

I look for times and places that are freer and calmer, a pace or place that doesn’t race away before you can catch it. I’ve found it only in one place really. Inside me.

It’s inside each of you too. It’s the only place to look and find the freedom to be you. The freedom to change how you act, feel and react. The only place to go to decide to take those lost times and places back so you can make them real for you. It’s not outside you or me. It’s all inside us and it our choice what to do with it.
